Great Hawaii Blogs

Picture from here.

Thinking about moving to the islands? Check out Hawaii Life, an up-to-date real estate blog that features unique properties from every corner of the 50th state. It also has some great info on events around the area, as well as some of the best places to see when visiting Hawaii. Even if you're not able to make it to our paradise yet, this blog is a great resource for home buying tips no matter where you are (but it's never too early to start planning for retirement, is it?).

Not quite ready to settle down into island life? If you're planning a Hawaiian vacation, check out this Hawaii Travel Blog. From sunbathing to sport fishing, museums to mountain hikes, this blog gives some terrific insight into Hawaiian happenings, things you won't find in a tour booklet. Check out the article on Historic Waikiki to get a glimpse of how Hawaiian Royalty spent their days off, or read up on Luxury Spas in Kauai (you may never want to leave).

Baby Buzz

On August 8th, 2009 Moana Events had the privilege to work with Baby aWEARness for theGrand Re-Opening at their store located in Manoa Marketplace.

We kept the store packed with a perfect mix of loyal regulars as well as new friendly faces by offering fun hands-on activities, educational demonstrations and experts on hand for this day-long celebration. The day's activities included an exciting mommy and baby fashion show that presented the latest in babywearing slings and chic clothes. On August 27th, shortly following our Grand Re-Opening, Baby aWEARness was featured on Hapa Hale's blog for the one-of-a-kind mi cielo onesie pictured to the left.

Special eco-friendly activities entertained and educated both parents and keikis; while keikis enjoyed live music, face-painting and eco-friendly fairies, parents were able to learn more about the earth-friendly and budget-friendly alternatives, such as cloth diapering, this natural parenting store has to offer.

Baby aWEARness is co-owned by Ashley Lukens and Naoko "Nicky" Lawnsby. Both of these women were a pleasure to work with and are truly the "go to gals" for all moms and moms-to-be. Baby aWEAReness will feature special promotions in celebration of Pregnancy Appreciation Month. Stop by the store and check out their website, www.babyaWEARness.com, for more details.

Something Blue...

Photo found here.

Planning a fall wedding with a twist? The traditional chocolate and orange color palette is given a fresh breath of life with the addition of soft blue. The blue ribbon provides nice balance to the vibrant fall flowers, and how cute is this headpiece!

This invitation from Papeterie shows that blue and orange can be more than summer wedding colors. This color scheme is traditional and elegant, but fun at the same time.
