Kauai Country Wedding

Holiday Cocktails

Who couldn't use a little liquid courage to help get through the holidays? Whether you're dealing with shopping terrors, cooking catastrophes, or wacky families, these tasty holiday cocktails we found on Create my Event are sure to put your mind (and your guests) at ease.

Gobble-tini

1 1/2 oz Smirnoff cranberry twist vodka
1/4 oz Chambord
1/2 oz cranberry juice
1 tsp lemon juice

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with 3 cranberries on a stick

Cranberry Punch

2 cups red wine
1 cup vodka
1/4 cup spiced rum
1/2 cup Ocean Spray Ruby Tangerine Grapefruit Juice Drink, chilled
2 cups Ocean Spray Cran-Raspberry Raspberry Cranberry Juice Drink, chilled
1/2 cup green or red grapes, sliced in half
1/4 cup fresh cranberries
1 lemon, lime, orange and apple, each sliced
1 cup sparkling water or club soda

Combine wine, vodka, spiced rum and juices in a punch bowl. Add fruit and chill. Add sparking water just before serving. Makes approximately 10 5-ounce servings.

Apple Cinnamon Toast

1 1/4 oz. Smirnoff Green Apple Twist vodka
1/2 oz. Goldschlager
Dash of Green Apple Jell-O

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass rimmed with cinnamon. Garnish with a cinnamon stick and apple slice.

Pumpkin Pie

2 parts Absolut Vanilla vodka
1 part pumpkin schnapps
Splash of cream (or substitute a splash of orange juice)

Mix all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and strain into a martini glass. Garnish with nutmeg and cherry.

Everyone loves dessert, and you'll be the star of the holiday party with a gourmet cheesecake from Cake Envy. Fighting Formal

Pretty in Pink (part 3)

Here are some more pictures from Colleen and Will's Pretty in Pink wedding taken by Christiaan and Lexi Phleger. The cocktail lounge area was set up underneath a stunning 100 year old tree. The tenting for the cocktail hour and the reception was provided by Kauai Tent & Party Rentals. The tent was draped and decorated by Martin Roberts Designs in the bride's pink and white color palette.

The location for this wedding was breathtaking, and everyone had a wonderful time despite the intermittent rain. Colleen and Will are a beautiful couple inside and out... and if their wedding was any indication, they are sure to have a great life ahead of them. We wish them the best!

Pretty in Pink (part 2)

We are so excited to have finally received the professional photos of Colleen and Will's Pretty in Pink wedding on Kauai!

Christiaan and Lexi Phleger did an amazing job capturing the precious moments of the day... we LOVE them! We had a very relaxed groom and a gorgeous bride. Thankfully the rain cleared just in time for us to have a beautiful outdoor ceremony with a natural arch created by two palms trees and a fabulous fuchsia flower petal aisle.
