Moana Events is excited to give you a sneak peak at our latest project,
Return to Waikiki - A Lu'au and Cocktail Show.
Each night of the show the International Marketplace in Waikiki Beach will be transformed to create the spirit of the grand lu'aus and entertainment of the 1940s and 1950s. The show, featuring master slack-key guitarist, Makana, will pay tribute to Waikiki's past and present through traditional and contemporary Hawaiian entertainment.
We were inspired by various vintage Hawaiian menus and postcards, some of which are actually from the International Marketplace, to recreate the Hawaii of old for this new lu'au and cocktail show. We wanted to share some of these great old images with you, most of them are from Arkiva Tropika.
