Love in Lanai

Here is a sneak peak at our amazing wedding this weekend on Lanai at the Four Seasons Resort Manele Bay, shot by Christiaan Phelger. It was one of the most magical weddings we have ever done and we just fell in love with this fun and engaging couple. We will post more pictures from the wedding when we get them, so be sure to check back.

Focusing on Photographers 3 of 3

Our last, and certainly not least, spotlight is on Stephen Ludwig. Stephen brings a more contemporary, colorful and bold edge to wedding photography than most. His fresh and unmarked ideas take wedding photography to a whole new level. It is Stephen’s goal to capture those once-in-a-lifetime moments and make them last a lifetime. Focusing on Photographers 1 of 3

We wanted to feature three fantastic wedding photographers this week. There are so many amazing photographers in Hawaii, but these are three of our favorites.

Our first featured photographer is non-other then Shawn Starr.

Shawn has a incredible knack for making the true essence of love come alive in his wedding photography. He uniquely captures this memorable time through his creative genius and vast experience. Located in Hawaii and New York, Shawn Starr is one of our top recommendations for a wedding photographer who truly brings these romantic memories to life...even looking back on them 10 years down the road.
Check out his website and blog to see more of his work.

Wacky Wonderland

Searching the web to find inspiration on a theme for a ten-year-old girl's upcoming April birthday party, I came across this adorable Alice and Wonderland themed tea party on the Hostess with the Mostess daily blog with photos by Jessica Claire.

This is a perfect idea for your daughter to celebrate her big day with all her friends. Bold colors, large banquet tables decorated with tea cups and dishes make for a wonderful and unforgettable get together. Include face painting from a real live "Alice", or perhaps "The Mad Hatter" pouring tea, to add additional fun to the party.

This party looks like such fun that we would even throw it for adults. Simply change it to a "Very Merry Unbirthday" to celebrate any day or a birthday for someone who may not necessarily want to commemorate it *wink*.

For this trippy event we would replace traditional tea with something a bit more adult, like creating a cocktail using absinthe called "Down the Rabbit Hole."
