The decision to open a Kauai office came with little hesitation from Morgan Childs, Moana Events President and Owner, who estimates that almost 40% of their wedding and event business takes place on Kauai.

Colleen Leonard came to Moana Events originally as a bride when she hired them to plan her own Kauai wedding last year. She was so delighted with the outcome of her wedding and intrigued with the wedding planning process, that she asked Childs if there might be an opportunity for her to join the company. Leonard and Childs soon began working out the logistics of launching the new Moana Events office and last month, Leonard left her job as a teacher to accept her new role as the lead of the Kauai office.
